Bharat Express News Network Organizes Mega Conclave in Patna
Ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, Bharat Express News Network organized a grand Mega Conclave in Patna. This major event was held and saw participation from key leaders and representatives of various political parties. At the start of the event, Bharat Express CMD Upendrra Rai welcomed all the guests and said that this was the first major event organized in Patna since the channel’s launch. He mentioned that Bharat Express has appointed representatives in nearly every district across Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal, but such a conclave was being held in Patna for the first time.

Role of Journalism Highlighted
In his opening remarks, CMD Upendrra Rai spoke about the historical importance of journalism. Referring to British thinker Edmund Burke in 1787, he explained how the press was established as the Fourth Pillar to keep a check on the executive, judiciary, and legislature. He emphasized that this role of the press is still equally important today, and there must be serious discussion on how responsible journalism should be.

Law & Order in Bihar and Changing Politics
During a special conversation with Bihar’s DGP Vinay Kumar, CMD Upendrra Rai discussed the state’s law and order situation. They talked about how politics in Bihar has shifted from being associated with kidnappings and violence to a more changing and evolving landscape.While speaking with Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, CMD Upendrra Rai discussed NDA’s preparations for the upcoming Bihar elections and the key issues they plan to focus on.

Limitations of Mainstream Media & Rise of Social Media
CMD Upendrra Rai said, “Mainstream media lagged behind, but social media gave new hope and trust to people.” He commented on the limitations of traditional media, stating that it now struggles to deliver key information to the public. In contrast, social media empowers everyone who holds a mobile phone to become part of the information-sharing process. He advised students to use this power wisely and strengthen their voices.

Technology Makes Life Easier and Saves Time

In the context of the 2025 Bihar elections, he said technology can make journalism more transparent and impactful. He urged the youth to use these tools for positive change, not for spreading rumors. This deep and thoughtful discussion helped establish the Conclave as an important intellectual platform.

Theme of the Conclave: “Naye Bharat Ki Baat, Bihar Ke Saath”
Speaking on the theme of the conclave, CMD Upendrra Rai said this event would give new direction to Bihar’s development and its election landscape. He appreciated the presence and contribution of various political leaders Bihar Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha, Samrat Chaudhary, CPI General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, JD(U) National General Secretary Manish Verma,Rashtriya Lok Morcha National President,Upendra Kushwaha,Former Union Minister and BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain,Cabinet Minister Dr. Ashok Choudhary, and Tej Pratap Yadav, founder of Jan Shakti Janata Dal.
